N1 Partners (N1 Interactive Ltd.): Affiliate Deal Removed Without Notice

An affiliate partnership only works when both sides keep their word. For almost two years we worked with the N1 Partners affiliate program, and this is the story of how our agreed deal disappeared from our account without a single word from the program.

What happened?

We have worked with N1 Partners as an affiliate for almost 2 years. Throughout that time we kept their brand in the top position on our homepage, which is one of the most valuable placements on our site.

At some point, our deal was removed from our affiliate account. We were not told about it. There was no email, no message from our manager and no notice in the dashboard. We only found out during a routine check after we hired a new account manager of our own.

When we raised the issue, we were told that the deal could not be reactivated because the new Head of Affiliates, Chris, does not have the history of the old chat we had with the previous affiliate manager, Damir, where the terms were agreed. In other words, an agreement made in good faith was treated as void because of an internal change of staff, which is not something we can be responsible for.

Since then, we have received no proper follow-up and no accountability for the decision to remove the deal without informing us.

Why this matters for affiliates?

An affiliate sends traffic, builds trust with readers and gives a brand valuable placement, all based on the terms agreed at the start. If those terms can be removed silently, and then denied because the person who agreed to them has left, the affiliate carries all the risk. During the period our deal was inactive, we were still promoting their brand at the top of our homepage, believing our agreement was in place.

Our Experience

Affiliates depend on agreed terms being honored. Silently removing a deal, and then refusing to restore it because a new manager doesn't have the chat records, shows very little respect for the partners who have been sending traffic. Our advice to other affiliates is to get every deal confirmed in writing, save all chat history and screenshots, and check their account regularly for changes. In our experience, this is a program we would not recommend joining.
